Job Description - QA Engineer

Design and execute test plans for backend and UI applications.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks from scratch
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

About the Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a leading global firm in the financial technology space. This position focuses on ensuring the stability and quality of complex trading and data platforms. You will work on high-performance systems in an agile environment, contributing to the design and implementation of automation frameworks and promoting best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute test plans for backend and UI applications.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks from scratch.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

SDLC & Testing: 5-8 years in software testing, including backend REST APIs and Linux/UNIX environments especially using Java.
Automation Tools: Playwright & Cucumber (preferred), if not Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, Maven
Cloud & Agile: Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms; familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence.
Capital Markets & FIX protocol experience.
Strong understanding of QA processes and methodologies.
Attention to detail
Good communication and mentoring skills.

Nice-to-Have

Integration testing with upstream/downstream systems.
Familiar with DevOps concepts
