Job Description - Senior Accountant (12-Month Contract)


Are you a highly motivated Senior Accountant looking for a 12-month opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and supportive finance team? Do you enjoy working across multiple stakeholders, contributing to complex projects, and leveraging your technical accounting skills to drive results. If so, this role could be the next step in your career.

As the Senior Accountant (12-month contract), you will support the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial reporting while contributing to ongoing projects including the integration of Liberty Singapore. You’ll bring strong analytical skills, technical accounting expertise, and a proactive mindset to deliver results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering timely and accurate month-end close processes, including journals, reconciliations, and filings.
  • Driving financial analysis and reporting in line with Liberty’s policies and USGAAP standards.
  • Collaborating on the Liberty Singapore integration, aligning workflows and systems across regulatory and internal reporting functions.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, responding to queries and offering financial insights.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, processes, and financial controls.
  • Staying current on relevant accounting standards and regulatory changes.
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and contributing to Finance team initiatives.
  • Demonstrating Liberty’s core values and contributing to a strong team culture.

About you

You’ll bring a mix of technical expertise, process improvement mindset, and collaborative spirit. You’ll be proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a high-performing finance team.

We’re looking for:
  • CA/CPA qualified with significant accounting experience, ideally within commercial insurance or financial services
  • Experience with MAS and USGAAP reporting highly desirable.
  • Strong SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Advanced relationship management and influencing capabilities
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and solution-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for continuous improvement and personal development
