Job Description - Senior Consultant, Data Governance Support (Banking Industry)

Responsibilities:

Support the development and operationalization of data governance frameworks in line with regulatory standards (e.g., MAS, BCBS 239, APAC)
Participate in or lead multiple data governance-related projects simultaneously
Assist in defining and documenting Key Data Elements (KDEs), metadata, and data lineage
Collaborate with business stakeholders, stewards, and IT teams to ensure data policies, ownership, and quality standards are met
Review and contribute to policies, procedures, and governance documentation
Monitor compliance with data governance standards and support related reporting initiatives
Provide support in tool implementation and management, particularly for Collibra and Alteryx
Assist in automating regulatory reporting processes and improving data quality controls
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide project updates, issue follow-ups, and status reporting
Prepare dashboards, reports, and documentation as required by governance teams

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in any field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in data management, data architecture, or data governance in the banking or financial services industry.
Strong foundational skills in communication, documentation, logical thinking, and stakeholder collaboration
Proven experience in areas such as regulatory data governance (MAS, BCBS 239, APAC), data quality controls (KDEs, DQ rules), metadata and lineage management, Collibra/Alteryx implementation, and regulatory reporting automation.
Proficient in creating documentation and reports using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Experience with Collibra or Alteryx from a data governance or functional SME perspective (non-developer role), with a background in consulting or enterprise-level governance initiatives, and strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills are a plus.
