Job Description - UC4/ AWA Specialist (1 year contract renewable)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain automated job scheduling workflows using UC4/AWA
Gather and translate requirements from IT stakeholders into automation solutions aligned with internal standards
Manage and fulfil service requests related to job scheduling and workflow automation
Act as a subject matter expert, advising service owners on automation best practices
Collaborate across IT teams to ensure smooth operations and meet defined KPIs
Support IT operations including incident, change, and release management processes
Analyse complex issues, optimise workflows, and leverage technologies such as Unix, Java, and scripting to drive efficiency

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

At least 7 years of experience in Automic (UC4/AWA) or similar job scheduling tools
Proven expertise in designing and managing complex automation workflows
Strong knowledge of Unix, Java, and shell scripting
Solid understanding of IT operations, including incident, change, and release management
Experience in requirements gathering, technical analysis, and cross-team coordination
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex challenges independently
Good communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work under pressure
