Account Executive (Shipping/Logistic - MNC)

Our client, a globally recognised player within the maritime and logistics space, is looking to bring on an Executive / Senior Executive to strengthen their regional finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals to build regional exposure within a structured and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of agency accounting operations, covering Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
• Drive daily and month-end cash management activities, including reconciliations and reporting accuracy.
• Oversee account balances across agents, customers, and vendors, ensuring timely follow-ups on outstanding items across regional offices.
• Prepare and analyse periodic reports to support financial tracking and operational visibility.
• Perform control checks and self-assessments to uphold accuracy and compliance in transaction processing.
• Act as a key point of contact for regional, country, and offshore teams, resolving queries and ensuring alignment.
• Contribute to ongoing system enhancements and process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency.
• Support broader team initiatives and participate in ad-hoc projects where required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience across AR, AP, and/or General Ledger (GL) functions.
• Exposure to shipping, maritime, or related industries would be advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, alongside strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) will be an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders across different regions.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
