Accountant

Job Description & Requirements

• Maintain full set of accounts and ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and forecast in accordance to IFRS accounting standards
• Handle day to day account operations and be responsible for accounting processes and tasks
• Responsible for preparation of monthly management reports including the current month's closing results and 3-month forecast
• Reconcile intercompany balances/transactions and ensure account
• reconciliations are performed and reviewed
• Prepare weekly cashflow report, bank reconciliation and journal entries
• Handle tax annual filing
• Prepare GST submission and tax filing
• Assist in new processes and system implementation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Handling bank account opening
• Any other tasks as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce.
• Experience in project costing and accruals
• Team player with confidence and maturity to work efficiently with different levels in the organization.
• Hands-on with Microsoft office applications.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Ability to work independently.
• Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese and English is required. The candidate must be able to speak Mandarin for communication with stakeholders and teams in China.
