Accountant

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and independent Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations. You will take full ownership of our accounts, ensuring compliance with IRAS and ACRA regulations. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in QuickBooks, possesses a strong grasp of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), and has a proven track record of handling full sets of accounts and audit preparations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting (Full Sets): Manage and maintain the full spectrum of financial accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
• System Management: Perform all bookkeeping, invoicing, and data entry accurately within QuickBooks.
• Closing & Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Taxation & GST: Prepare, reconcile, and submit quarterly GST returns (Form 5) to IRAS. Ensure full compliance with Singapore corporate tax regulations.
• Audit & Compliance: Lead the year-end audit process. Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, and liaise closely with external auditors and tax agents.
• Process Improvement: Review and streamline internal accounting workflows and controls to improve efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience handling full sets of accounts, preferably within a Singapore SME or an accounting firm.
• Software Skills: Advanced proficiency and hands-on experience with QuickBooks is a strict requirement.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), ACRA filing requirements, and IRAS GST regulations.
• Soft Skills: Highly organized, meticulous with an eye for detail, and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
