ACCOUNTANT

Key Responsibilities

· Financial Reporting & Closing: Manage full-set accounts, month-end and year-end closing, and prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for management.

· Project & Job Costing: Track project-based expenses, including labor, specialized valve parts, and piping materials, to ensure repair jobs remain profitable.

· Inventory Valuation: Manage inventory tracking for spare parts, pipes, and valves, and execute periodic physical stock counts and valuation.

· Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR): Oversee the invoicing process, issue progress billings for ongoing repair contracts, process vendor payments, and handle credit control.

· Tax & Compliance: Handle local tax filings (e.g., GST reporting, Corporate Tax), and ensure compliance with the [Insert Local Authority, e.g., Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)] guidelines.

· Audit & Budgeting: Assist with the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and liaise with external auditors and corporate secretaries.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

· Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), manufacturing, or engineering environment.

· System Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and Xero accounting software

· Competencies: Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced workshop environment.
