D. S. We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team and help us maintain our financial health and growth.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As an Accountant at D. S. Brown Singapore Pte Ltd, you will be responsible for a comprehensive range of accounting tasks including, but not limited to:
- Maintain full set of accounts and manage all financial and accounting transactions.
- Prepare timely monthly and annual financial closings.
- Update cashflow statements and prepare cash-flow projections and expenditure forecasts.
- Match supplier purchase orders (POs) with receipts and key in receipts and invoices into the system.
- Process supplier payments and manage fund transfers.
- Submit monthly (progress) claims, process received payment certificates and invoices.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- File GST quarterly returns.
- Support yearly audits and tax preparations.
- Manage annual audit preparation with internal and external auditors.
- Handle LC issuance and TR conversion if necessary.
- Close out project costings (ORAs) for completed projects.
- Maintain the ledger for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Ensure financial data confidentiality and perform database backups.
- Keep account books and systems up to date.
- Stay updated on statutory requirements, legislations, and government funding schemes.
- Perform other accounting duties, as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant, or BSc in Accounting, or a relevant degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Finance & Accounting department or as an Accountant, with at least 2 years of experience as an independent Accountant in the Manufacturing Industry.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with ACCPAC is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Standards.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
- Sound experience with general ledger functions.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective organizational and communication skills.
