Accountant (5D/Construction Industry/East Area)

About this company :

Singapore-based construction company involved in civil engineering and building-related projects. As they continue to grow, they are expanding their finance team and are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join them.

Your Responsibilities :

• Handle full spectrum of accounting functions, including accounts payable, general ledger, petty cash, fixed assets and cash book updates.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial and management reports within the required deadlines.

• Prepare cash flow analysis, projection and GST reporting.

• Process and verify invoices, delivery orders, payments and supporting documents accurately.

• Perform monthly creditors’ statement reconciliation, bank balance monitoring and bank reconciliation.

• Manage and reconcile inter-company transactions and balances.

• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors, banks, customers, suppliers and statutory bodies when required.

• Ensure all payments are processed on time with proper approval and documentation.

• Work closely with internal departments to resolve accounting and month-end closing matters.

• Maintain and reconcile financial statements to ensure accuracy of records.

• Assist in reviewing internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems.

• Support any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• At least Degree in Accounting or equivalent

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience handling full set of accounts

• Prior experience in the construction industry is an advantage

• Meticulous, responsible, and able to work independently
