Accountant - Accounting & Tax

Company Overview: We are a well-established accounting and corporate services firm with over 40 years of experience, serving a diverse clientele across various industries.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance, along with the ability to lead and mentor junior staffs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of accounting functions including AR, AP, and GL

• Prepare financial statements in compliance with SFRS.

• Assist clients with the preparation and filing of quarterly GST returns, annual tax computations, and submissions to IRAS.

• Review and analyze monthly management accounts and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal standards and client requirements.​

• Coordinate audit schedules, address auditor queries, and prepare necessary financial documentation.​

• Provide guidance and supervision to account executives, fostering a positive learning environment.​

• Collaborate with management to improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and processes.​

• Undertake ad hoc projects and tasks as required by management.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.​

• CA/ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.​

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.​

• Strong knowledge of SFRS and other international GAAP.​

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.​

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.​

• Experience with GST, tax compliance, and knowledge of IRAS regulations.​
