Accountant (Business Consultancy Services)

Salary: SGD 4,000 – SGD 5,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications and experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our growing business consultancy team. This is a middle-management position responsible for leading and overseeing the provision of accounting and financial reporting services to our diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, as well as supporting the accounting functions of the company's subsidiaries.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high standards of financial compliance, reporting accuracy, and client service delivery while supervising and mentoring junior accounting personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of accounting and bookkeeping services to clients from various industries.
• Review and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), ACRA requirements, IRAS regulations, and other statutory obligations.
• Oversee preparation and submission of GST returns, corporate tax schedules, and related financial reports.
• Manage full sets of accounts for clients and group subsidiaries.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, government agencies, and clients on accounting and financial matters.
• Supervise, guide, and review the work of junior accountants and accounting executives.
• Develop and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
• Support management in budgeting, cash flow planning, financial analysis, and business advisory projects.
• Assist in implementing accounting systems and digital transformation initiatives where required.
• Provide professional accounting advice and support to clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• Alternatively, candidates holding professional qualifications such as ACCA or Chartered Accountant Singapore (CA Singapore) are welcome to apply.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience handling full sets of accounts and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST, corporate taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Prior experience in an accounting firm, corporate services provider, business consultancy, or outsourced accounting environment will be an advantage.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client portfolios and meet reporting deadlines.
