Senior Accountant (FACT System/JSOX Audits)

Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts for two entities, including preparation and submission of actual results and financial reports for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing to Japan HQ.
• Oversee the complete financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to both management and HQ within established deadlines.
• Review and manage balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and confirmations.
• Administer company assets, including fixed asset additions, disposals, depreciation, and asset verification.
• Prepare forecasts and budgets, with supporting documentation, justifications, and detailed commentaries.
• Compile audit and tax schedules, and liaise with external auditors and tax agents on all audit and tax-related matters.
• Handle statutory reporting including quarterly GST filing, Withholding Tax submissions, XBRL filings for ACRA, and responses to government statistics surveys.
• Conduct JSOX audits and ensure compliance with JSOX requirements.
• Manage and maintain the Accounting System (FACT System).
• Assist in overseeing the Accounts Department and collaborate closely with internal teams on financial accounting issues.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff in their daily duties.
• Undertake ad hoc projects and assignments as required.

Requirements

• Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification with at least 5 years of accounting experience
• Prior experience in manufacturing company is required
• Good communication skill, dynamic and a good team player
• Strong in excel and accounting system
• Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
