Accountant (GL & FA)

Basic information:

• Location: North
• Salary UP $5,500
• Manufacturing Industry (MNC)
• 5 days work week (7.45am - 5.30pm)

Responsibilities;

• Support the timely and accurate execution of month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring financial records are completed in accordance with reporting timelines and requirements. Prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
• Process journal entries and perform account reconciliations using Sage X3 and/or BlackLine systems. Manage fixed asset accounting functions, including asset capitalization, disposals, maintenance of depreciation schedules, and compliance with company fixed asset policies and procedures.
• Provide support for budgeting activities and cash flow forecasting to assist in financial planning and decision-making processes. Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory accounts while ensuring adherence to relevant reporting obligations.
• Review and recommend improvements to finance processes and workflows to increase efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and enhance overall compliance standards.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal company policies. Liaise with tax agents and regulatory bodies to support compliance matters and facilitate audit-related activities.
• Work closely with external auditors by preparing required documentation, coordinating audit requests, and ensuring timely completion of audit processes and statutory submissions. Carry out additional responsibilities and ad-hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a recognized professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA. Minimum 5 years of relevant Accounting and Finance experience, preferably within Manufacturing or Logistics industries. Experience in process improvement initiatives would be considered an advantage.

Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and evaluate financial information accurately and effectively. Demonstrate a proactive and self-motivated approach with a strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and ownership in completing tasks.

Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities and effective time and task management skills. Capable of working collaboratively within a team environment while remaining adaptable to evolving business requirements and shifting priorities.

Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functions with the ability to perform financial analysis, manage data efficiently, and generate meaningful insights to support decision-making.
