Accountant (Listed Financial Institution)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports and statements in line with applicable accounting standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support the delivery of regulatory submissions, including MAS reporting, ensuring timelines and compliance requirements are met.
• Perform variance analysis and financial performance reviews, highlighting key drivers and providing actionable insights.
• Assist in capital and liquidity reporting, working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Contribute to credit risk assessment processes, including provisioning and expected credit loss (ECL) calculations.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, supporting business decision-making.
• Monitor changes in regulatory guidelines and accounting standards, ensuring timely implementation and adherence.
• Support cash flow management and funding activities, including coordination with banking partners where required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a bank or financial institution.
• Good understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel and financial data analysis, along with good stakeholder communication skills.
