Accounting Manager (Cost Control / Manufacturing / Office Hours)

Work location: Woodlands

Work schedule: 5 days’ work week (Mon – Fri), standard office hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee cost accounting activities, including month-end close, inventory reconciliation, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
• Analyse manufacturing costs, product margins, inventory movements, and operational variances to identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Operations and cross-functional teams to enhance inventory accuracy, cost control, and operational efficiency.
• Support inventory management activities, including stock counts, inventory reviews, and compliance with internal controls.
• Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes by preparing cost analyses and business performance reports.
• Participate in business reviews and provide variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Drive continuous process improvements across cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting processes.
• Support finance-related projects, system enhancements, and process optimisation initiatives.

Key Requirements:

• Min. Degree in Accounting, Finance Management or possess ACCA
• Min 6-8 years of experience in cost accounting or management accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
