Accounting Manager (Finance) WEST

Job Purpose

The Accounts & Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and lead the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, robust cash flow management, and full regulatory compliance. This role bridges operational accounting with strategic financial analysis to support regional supply chain and packaging solutions business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Manage full sets of accounts and oversee timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare management reports, financial statements, and variance analysis for leadership.
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and cash flow projections.

2. Operational & Team Leadership

• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of Accounts Executive teams handling AP, AR, and GL.
• Streamline accounting workflows and improve internal controls.
• Oversee monthly payroll verification and the computation of sales commissions.

3. Tax, Audit & Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and statutory requirements.
• Manage corporate tax compliance, including quarterly GST filings and annual corporate tax submissions.
• Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax agents, and banking partners.

4. Strategic & System Support

• Monitor regional inventory costing, logistics financial data, and supply chain margins.
• Support ERP system optimization and digital transformation initiatives within the finance department.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent (CPA/CA Singapore qualification is highly preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Industry: Prior experience in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, or wholesale supply chain is an advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced MS Excel.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
