Job Description - Accounts & HR Manager

Company Overview

RTA Ship Services (located next to Joo Koon MRT) supplies marine , stores, consumables, and linen for ships in Singapore and OPL waters. We deliver reliable, safe, and quality products while expanding our inventory to be a one-stop service station for the maritime community.

Job Summary

Manage day-to-day financial and human resources operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, employee onboarding, and compliance with local labor and tax laws.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Functions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software to support financial transparency
  • Manage vendor invoices and process payments to ensure timely accounts payable operations
  • Track incoming client receivables to maintain healthy cash flow
  • Calculate wages, process bonuses and deductions, and facilitate timely salary disbursements for payroll accuracy
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and balance sheets to inform management decisions
  • Assist with annual tax preparation and audits to ensure regulatory compliance

Human Resources Functions

  • Manage job postings, coordinate interviews, conduct orientations, and process new-hire paperwork to streamline recruitment and onboarding
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, policy clarifications, and grievance handling to maintain positive employee relations
  • Ensure all HR processes and personnel records comply with local and national labor laws to uphold legal standards
  • Assist with performance review tracking, leave management, and employee benefits administration to support workforce management

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related qualification & field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience handling accounting and HR/administrative duties
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, strict attention to detail, and high integrity in handling confidential information
