Job Description - Accounts Assistant

Job Summary

The Xcess is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Assistant to support the finance and accounting functions of the company. The successful candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support administrative duties to ensure smooth financial processes.

L' Atelier by The Xcess is a state-of-the-art luxury watch service center dedicated to the meticulous care and restoration of exquisite timepieces. Spanning over 2,000 sq ft, L' Atelier seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with the mastery of Swiss-trained artisans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense claims accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform data entry and maintain proper accounting records and documentation.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow transactions.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and schedules.
  • Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding billing and payment matters.
  • Maintain filing systems for accounting and financial documents.
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance documentation.
  • Support payroll and CPF submissions where required.
  • Perform general administrative duties related to finance operations.
  • Carry out other ad hoc duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
  • Prior accounting or administrative experience is preferred.
  • Xero experience is a strong plus.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
