Job Description - Accounts assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing of revenue accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Record all revenue and receivables transactions accurately into the book keeping records with complete supporting documentation.
  • Review and verify revenue adjustments, ensuring proper justification and required approvals are obtained.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records, including reconciliations.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up promptly with internal and external stakeholders on payment matters.
  • Ensure all receipts are properly, recorded, and reconciled on a timely basis.
  • Handle inter-company transactions accurately.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable or general accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy and integrity in financial data handling.
  • Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for accounts receivable and payable during audits.
  • Assist in improving finance processes and internal controls where necessary.
  • Perform other ad-hoc finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.
