Accounts Executive

As an Accounts Executive for a global shipping company, you will manage overhead and administration expenses across Group entities, ensure accurate financial records, and support stakeholders to uphold the company’s quality service.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and finalize monthly financial results for overseas subsidiaries, ensuring GST/tax compliance and completeness of expenditures
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and within deadlines to maintain financial integrity
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Support audit readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements through timely documentation and coordination
• Conduct intercompany reconciliations across Group entities to ensure accurate internal financial reporting
• Maintain and update accounting and ERP systems to provide accurate data for internal stakeholders’ decision-making

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proficiency in Japanese to effectively liaise with Japanese-speaking stakeholders
• Experience in subsidiary and group accounting, including managing intercompany transactions
• Experience booking overhead and administration expenses using project codes and other accounting dimensions
• Basic understanding of ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Business Central is advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting
• Experience with intercompany or profit centre accounting setups
• Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills to collaborate across global teams
• Adaptability and forward-thinking approach to manage multiple responsibilities across subsidiaries
