Job Summary

The Accounts Executive is responsible for providing general accounting and finance support to ensure the smooth operation of the Finance Department. The role includes processing accounting transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, supporting month-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to maintain accurate financial flow
• Prepare journal entries to record financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify and correct accounting records
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting
• Prepare financial schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for internal and external use
• Process employee claims and support payroll administration as needed to ensure accurate compensation
• Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records for easy retrieval and audit readiness
• Assist with GST reporting, audit preparation, and other statutory compliance to meet regulatory requirements
• Liaise with internal departments, vendors, customers, and external parties on finance-related matters to facilitate smooth operations
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements to uphold financial integrity
• Perform general administrative duties related to the Finance Department to support daily operations
• Carry out any other accounting or finance-related duties assigned by Management to support department goals

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years' relevant accounting experience
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience using accounting software will be an advantage
• Good analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
