Accounts Executive

Oon& Bazul is seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Executive to support the Firm's day-to-day finance operations.

Job Description & Requirements

• Support new client onboarding and file opening processes in ensuring KYC compliance and data entry accuracy.
• Handle case opening and closures, including verification of WIP, disbursements, and client/office accounts.
• Review and approve invoices.
• Issue credit notes and debit notes.
• Process write-offs in accordance with SOPs.
• Perform monthly receipt reconciliations between accountings records and transactions per bank statements for client and office accounts.
• Prepare monthly management reports covering billing, collections, and receivables, including ageing analysis.
• Manage full Accounts Receivable function, including invoices, collections follow-up, and monitoring outstanding balances.
• Provide audit and tax support, including preparation of receipts-related audit schedules and year-end documentation.
• Prepare capacity and utilisation dashboards/reports.
• Key in and update hourly rates for lawyers and trainees in the system, and support billing adjustments.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• IT-savvy and proficient in Microsoft programmes, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in professional service firms’ setting.
• Basic accounting concepts or knowledge.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Minimum educational qualification: Diploma in Finance, Accounting or relevant field from a recognised institution.
• Preferably can start work within short notice period.
