Accounts Executive

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with company policies.

• Manage the full Accounts Receivable (AR) cycle, including customer invoicing, receipt recording, monthly Statement of Account (SOA) issuance, and follow-up on overdue payments.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP), including verifying supplier invoices, ensuring supporting documents are complete, and processing payments in a timely manner.

• Perform reconciliations for customer and supplier balances, resolving discrepancies where necessary.

• Prepare monthly AR and AP aging reports, cash collection forecasts, and provision schedules.

• Create and maintain project codes and job records within the accounting system.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate any unreconciled items.

• Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately to support quarterly GST filings.

• Prepare journal entries and month-end adjustments on a monthly or quarterly basis.

• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process

• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on invoicing, payment, and account-related matters.

• Support finance-related projects and perform other ad hoc duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

• Minimum 6 months of relevant accounting or finance experience.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles; exposure to full-set accounting will be an advantage.

• Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and a willingness to learn.
