Accounts Executive (Central / Up to $4k AWS VB)

Responsibilities

• Process and validate transactions in line with internal policies, authorisation limits, and departmental allocations.
• Review vendors’ invoices and process payment applications and accruals accurately.
• Process income billings and accruals by validating contracts and agreements.
• Perform monthly closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, estimates, fair value accounting, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial analysis and reconciliation reports.
• Review import and export negotiation documents and ensure correct accounting classification.
• Validate foreign currency forward contract applications, supporting documents, and related accounting treatments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Manage office and vehicle lease accounting and support audit and tax schedules when required.
• Support internal control projects, including trade transaction sampling and documentation checks.
• Review documents against J-SOX and internal control checklists and report findings to supervisors.
• Undertake ad hoc accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Accounting Standards and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems; SAP system knowledge is an added advantage.
• Ability to review contracts, financial documents, and supporting schedules.
