About the Company

We are a leading Singapore-based main contractor specializing in large-scale civil engineering and building construction projects. Driven by sustained growth and an exciting pipeline of upcoming projects, we are expanding our finance team. We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Finance / Accounts Executive to manage our accounts payable functions and contribute to our financial success.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice & Claims Management

• Manage full-spectrum Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.

• Verify invoices, Purchase Orders (PO), and Delivery Orders (DO) against project delivery records.

• Review and process subcontractor progress claims, tracking variations, and managing retention sums.

• Liaise closely with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors (QS) to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure proper project-cost allocation.

Financial Reconciliation & Reporting

• Perform monthly creditors’ statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding payment issues with suppliers.

• Maintain and update payment records, cash books, and supplier accounts.

• Assist in bank reconciliations, monthly closing activities, and quarterly GST reporting.
  

Compliance & Operations

• Ensure all disbursements strictly adhere to company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal approval matrices.

• Maintain an organized, systematic filing system for all accounting and project-related financial documents.

• Support year-end audit preparation, internal controls compliance, and any ad-hoc financial duties as assigned.
  

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA).

• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.

• Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the Construction or Engineering sector is highly advantageous.

• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of working under tight project deadlines.

• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
