Accounts Payable Specialist

Maran Ship Supplies Pte. Ltd. is part of the Angelicoussis Group, one of the world’s leadingShipping Groups. We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Accounts Payable Specialist to be part of the accounting team. 

Main responsibilities:

-         Performs athree-way reconciliation on the invoices received from suppliers, the GRN fromthe vessels and the order from the vessels

-         Theoutcome of this task will result in a request for payment from the managementcompanies

-         Ensurethat all documentation is scanned and recorded in the appropriate ERP (GDN,order, invoice and GRN)

-         Ensurethat all journals are properly recorded in the ERP (accounts payable andpurchases/operating expense category) – if reconciling differences exist thenfollow up aiming to clear them

-         Reconcilesupplier statements and follow up on reconciling differences

-         Maintainsupplier libraries (e.g. credit dates, credit limits, bank account details,contact details, and registration numbers)

-         Maintainlibraries mapping product types to suppliers to world-wide

-         Reporting:

o  Accountspayable based on their maturity date

o  Beinvolved in the budgeting process (accounts payable due per week) to manageliquidity

o  Reportingof volumes per supplier and risk assessment on supplier reliance or exposure

o  Report onoperating expenses (basis purchases from world wide suppliers)

o  Report onoperating expenses (merging supply to vessels from MSS and world widesuppliers)

-         Other:

o  Beinvolved in agreements to obtain a rebates on volume sales

o  Manageapplications to improve credit terms with suppliers

o  Manage thefinancial aspect of contracts with suppliers

Required skills and qualifications:

An accounting graduateor someone with up to 3 years' of relevant working experience

Technical accounting background(Diploma),

Bachelor's degree willbe considered an advantage,

General math skills,ERP experience, diligence, strong communication skills, strong analyticalskills, strong communication skills (both verbal and in writing), strong MSoffice skills, team player
