Actuarial Assistant Manager

Job Description

• Maintain and enhance the actuarial models. Ensure that actuarial models used for the above activities are accurate, efficient and well documented according to the modelling controls and governance.
• Manage model governance and validation in accordance with internal policy which includes reviewing procedures to maintain model integrity and appropriate model documentation.
• Assist in any ad-hoc actuarial investigations and corporate initiatives from time to time.
• Assist Chief Actuary in monitoring and reporting of value of new businesses, embedded value, solvency projection and other on-going financial condition and performance.
• Prepare movement analysis, attribution, and explanation of changes in the results under various reporting.
• Conduct experience studies to assist Chief Actuary in formulating the best estimate assumptions.
• Preparation of business planning exercise, analysis of potential surplus arising and making recommendations.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Actuarial Science.
• Minimum 3 - 4 years of working experience in actuarial field.
• Good mathematical and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Able to work independently, self-motivated and outcome oriented.
• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PPT, Access).
• Intermediate to advance knowledge of actuarial projection software: Prophet, DCS.
