About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Temenos Transact (T24) Application Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 production and pre-production support for enterprise banking applications built on the Temenos Transact platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in application support, ITIL operations, batch processing, system monitoring, incident management, and banking operations while working in a highly regulated financial services environment.

The role requires close collaboration with delivery managers, application development teams, infrastructure teams, DBAs, and client stakeholders to ensure high availability, operational stability, and continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Temenos Transact (T24) Application Support

  • Provide L2/L3 support for Temenos Transact (T24) applications across Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments.

  • Monitor and support T24 services, interfaces, OFS messaging, COB/EOD processes, and background services.

  • Investigate application issues related to T24 modules, interfaces, parameterization, and integrations.

  • Support Temenos upgrades, patch deployments, hotfix implementation, and environment validation.

  • Perform health checks for T24 services and ensure operational readiness before business hours.

Environment & Operations Support

  • Support setup, maintenance, validation, and operational readiness of multiple environments.

  • Perform daily system health checks, log analysis, and proactive monitoring.

  • Monitor application dashboards and infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools.

  • Identify performance degradation and coordinate resolution before business impact.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Respond to production incidents and service alerts within agreed SLAs.

  • Perform first-level diagnosis and detailed troubleshooting before escalating complex issues.

  • Participate in major incident bridges and war-room discussions.

  • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) by collecting logs, timelines, system evidence, and technical findings.

  • Ensure timely updates through ITSM platforms and stakeholder communications.

Batch & COB Operations

  • Monitor Temenos COB (Close of Business), Start of Day (SOD), End of Day (EOD), and batch executions.

  • Support scheduling tools including UC4, Automic Automation (AWA), and Control-M.

  • Investigate failed jobs and coordinate recovery activities.

  • Ensure successful completion of regulatory and business-critical processing cycles.

Deployment & Release Support

  • Support application deployments through GitLab CI/CD, Octopus Deploy, Bamboo, and related release tools.

  • Validate deployment success and perform rollback activities when required.

  • Coordinate production releases with development, infrastructure, and business teams.

Database & Environment Refresh

  • Assist DBAs during Oracle and SQL Server refresh activities.

  • Execute post-refresh validation and application smoke testing.

  • Support data masking and compliance requirements for non-production environments.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, technical documentation, and knowledge articles in Confluence.

  • Continuously improve support documentation to reduce operational risk and improve team efficiency.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop Shell, PowerShell, or Python scripts to automate repetitive operational activities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, alerting, deployments, and operational processes.

  • Support implementation of operational excellence initiatives.

Collaboration

  • Work effectively with geographically distributed teams across multiple vendors and client organizations.

  • Participate in shift rotations, weekend support, and planned maintenance activities where required.

  • Communicate professionally with business users, technology teams, and senior stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise banking applications.

  • Hands-on experience supporting Temenos Transact (T24) environments.

  • Experience working within banking or financial services organizations.

  • Strong understanding of production support processes and operational governance.

Temenos Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Temenos Transact architecture.

  • Experience supporting one or more T24 functional modules such as:

    • Accounts

    • Customer

    • Payments

    • Funds Transfer

    • Deposits

    • Lending

    • Treasury

    • Securities

    • Trade Finance

  • Understanding of:

    • OFS

    • TAFJ/TAFC

    • T24 Services

    • Browser

    • COB processing

    • Local Development concepts

    • Parameter configuration

    • Interfaces and integrations

Monitoring & Support

Experience using:

  • Dynatrace

  • Grafana

  • Splunk

  • Prometheus

  • Enterprise monitoring dashboards

ITSM & Service Management

Practical experience with:

  • Incident Management

  • Problem Management

  • Change Management

  • Major Incident Management

  • ITIL best practices

Tools:

Batch Scheduling

Experience supporting:

  • UC4 / Automic Automation

  • Control-M

  • Pod monitoring

  • Log retrieval

  • Basic troubleshooting

Exposure to:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Temenos Transact R20/R21/R22/R23 or later versions.

  • Familiarity with Temenos Interaction Framework (IRIS) and Temenos Payment Hub (TPH) is an advantage.

  • Exposure to Temenos DataSource, TAFJ architecture, and Java-based deployments.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is desirable.

  • ITIL Foundation Certification.

  • Temenos Technical or Functional Certification is highly preferred.
