Assistant Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Accounts Manager in managing daily accounting operations and preparing financial reports.
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain accounting documents, including invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and supporting schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and external service providers on accounting, billing, and payment-related matters.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate filing and proper documentation of accounting records.
• Support process improvements and perform other accounting or administrative duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software such as MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or equivalent ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information with professionalism.
• Experience with Singapore accounting practices, GST, or statutory compliance will be an advantage.
