Assistant Finance Manager

Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and independent Accounts & Finance Assistant Manager to oversee the company's finance and accounting operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and process improvements while working closely with senior management. This position focused on financial control, budget preparation and monitoring, audit coordination, tax and corporate compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full set of accounts, including month-end closing, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of management reports.
• Prepare annual budgets, monitor budget versus actual performance, analyse financial variances, and manage cash flow forecasts.
• Coordinate external audits, prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with SFRS, and resolve audit queries.
• Ensure timely compliance with GST, corporate tax, ACRA, and other statutory requirements, while liaising with auditors, tax agents, and relevant stakeholders.
• Support corporate secretarial matters, including statutory filings, board resolutions, maintenance of statutory records, and AGM documentation.
• Drive continuous improvements to accounting processes, systems, and digitalisation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist in the setup of new companies, including accounting systems, budgeting, banking arrangements, GST registration, and perform other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) Singapore, ISCA, ACCA, or CPA equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant experience with proven leadership/management abilities.
• Proven, hands-on experience handling ACRA BizFile+ lodgments and navigating IRAS platforms independently.
• High proficiency in cloud accounting ecosystems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail, high ethical standards, and a strong ambition to transition from execution to strategic financial leadership.
