Assistant Tax Manager

Our client, an established multinational organisation is seeking an experienced Assistant Tax Manager to join its regional finance function. This role offers the opportunity to manage a broad range of corporate tax matters while partnering with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

·       Oversee tax compliance activities across Singapore and regional entities, ensuring timely and accurate statutory submissions.

·       Partner with external tax consultants on corporate tax, withholding tax, GST/VAT and other tax-related matters.

·       Support transfer pricing initiatives, including the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation and regional compliance requirements.

·       Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP.

·       Provide tax advisory support to business stakeholders by assessing the tax implications of commercial transactions and new business initiatives.

·       Act as the key liaison with tax authorities during audits, reviews and regulatory enquiries.

·       Work closely with the Finance team during statutory audits and financial reporting cycles.

·       Drive tax process improvements and support regional finance projects to strengthen governance and operational efficiency.

Requirements

·       Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Taxation or a related discipline. Professional tax accreditation is advantageous.

·       At least 5 years of relevant tax experience

·       Solid knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and regional tax compliance.

·       Experience preparing tax provisions under US GAAP.

·       Familiarity with transfer pricing documentation and OECD guidelines.

·       Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar ERP/reporting systems will be an advantage.

·       Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse financial data and prepare tax computations.

·       Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
