Associate, Credit Trading

What is the opportunity?

As the Associate, Credit Trading, you will be responsible for working on credit trading desk, developing into a role that you will be able to actively price, execute and assist in market-making and make key market decisions.

What will you do?

• Work closely with the NY credit Trading Team and build a strong relationship with the different team members.
• Build a team oriented approach with sales, trading, and research regionally and globally, regularly interacting with team members.
• Prepare and send pricing reports to clients/internally on market colour and analyst marketing across the desk.
• Develop and streamline the workflow sales/trading product area
• Establish good relationships with our counterparties and keep management abreast of any significant market trends and developments.
• To achieve the desk's yearly budget (Income, RWA, ROE).

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Degree or equivalent is required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, logical and independent thinker, ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of the FICC environment and a desire to build a career in FICC
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
• Motivated self-starter and creative team player who is confident, inquisitive and has initiative
• Relevant licenses required (US FINRA)

Nice-to-have

• Previous experience in a Financial Institution
