JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a repo trader to join a Singapore-based securities financing desk witha focus on HQLA assets.  The role requires the trader to have an understanding of matched book repo management, interest rate risk, and credit risk. Primary markets include US, Canada, Japan, and Australia.  The position is responsible for day-to-day funding, balance sheet optimization, and liquidity management.  Priority will be given to candidates with experience trading Canadian markets.  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

·      Key trading and risk management responsibilities for our APAC securities financing platform

·      Repo market makingand pricing for institutional counterparties whileensuring competitive pricing and efficient hedging

·      Support APAC time-zonepricing in global securities financing books, including Canada and the US

·      Collaborate with sales, risk, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and risk management

·      Provide market color and trade ideas to clients and internal stakeholders

·      Contribute to the development and implementation of trading strategies to enhance revenue and market share

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

·      Minimum 3 years in a repoor rates-related role, ideally in sales and trading, middle office, collateral management, or securities settlements

·      Strong understanding offixed income markets, products, and client needs in the Asia time-zones

·      Fluency in developments in fixed income technology

·      Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship management skills

·      Ability to manage complex market risk independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

·      Language skills appreciated, but not essential

·      Experience with APEX, Bloomberg appreciated
