Job Summary

Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with SFRS and delivering insightful recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
• Assess financial risks and internal controls to identify areas for improvement and mitigate potential issues
• Ensure audit procedures comply with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
• Prepare detailed audit reports that clearly communicate findings, risks, and actionable recommendations
• Verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial reporting during audits
• Coordinate workflow and collaborate effectively with audit managers and partners to meet engagement objectives
• Communicate proactively with clients to understand their business operations and associated risks
• Provide clients with insights and recommendations to enhance their financial processes and controls
• Respond professionally and promptly to client queries and concerns throughout the audit process
• Apply expertise in Group Consolidation of accounts to support audit engagements

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in external auditing, preferably within a public accounting firm at an Audit Senior level
• Fluency in English and Mandarin to effectively liaise with Chinese-speaking clients
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated by identifying key issues and proposing solutions during audits
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
