AVP/VP, IT Auditor

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and independently execute end-to-end IT and Information Systems (IS) audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up on issue remediation and closure.
• Perform audit activities in accordance with the Bank’s internal audit methodology and professional standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of IT and IS internal controls and provide practical, value-adding recommendations to address identified gaps and emerging risks.
• Apply data analytics techniques to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control environment.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across assigned IT and IS functions.
• Support the annual risk assessment process through a strong understanding of business strategies, products, operational processes, risks, and regulatory developments across the region.
• Conduct continuous monitoring of IT and IS activities to identify evolving business, operational, regulatory, and technology risks, and recommend appropriate audit coverage.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, transformation projects, and strategic assignments as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in IT and/or IS audit, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Experience in conducting risk-based audits and assessing technology-related risks.
• Strong understanding of technology risk management and cybersecurity principles.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification is required.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with technology risk management and cybersecurity regulatory requirements across the Asia Pacific region, including guidelines issued by regulators such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and Bank of Thailand (BOT).
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
