Bank Legal Head

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on banking, lending, commercial, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate banking documentation, commercial agreements, and customer terms and conditions.
• Review credit and security documentation to ensure legal enforceability.
• Advise on Singapore banking regulations, PDPA, and other applicable legal requirements.
• Manage litigation, disputes, and external legal counsel where required.
• Support internal investigations, governance matters, and policy development.
• Provide legal support for regional operations across Asia Pacific, including Singapore and Shanghai.
• Assist with audit and regulatory matters to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Law; admission to the Singapore Bar or a recognised legal qualification.
• Minimum 15 years' legal experience, preferably within banking, financial services, or a leading law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore banking regulations, lending documentation, and commercial contracts.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
