Job Description - Business Operations & Accounts Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive Business, Education, and Accounting Assistant to support daily business operations, educational consulting, administrative tasks, and accounting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update customer records and company information accurately to ensure data integrity
  • Assist with daily administrative and operational tasks to support smooth business functions
  • Research, compile, and update education-related information in Singapore and Malaysia for informed consultancy services
  • Gather detailed information on educational institutions, academic programmes, admission requirements, tuition fees, and student pass requirements to support client advising
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain documents related to education consultancy services for efficient record-keeping
  • Conduct online research and verify information through official sources to ensure accuracy
  • Perform data entry, document filing, and record management to maintain organized business records
  • Assist in preparing quotations, invoices, and business correspondence to facilitate client communication and transactions
  • Support basic bookkeeping and accounting functions to aid in financial record accuracy
  • Liaise with customers, educational institutions, and relevant stakeholders to coordinate information and services
  • Perform other administrative and ad-hoc duties assigned by management to support business needs

Requirements

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant disciplines
  • Relevant work experience in administration, customer service, education consultancy, accounting, or related functions
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
  • Strong research, information-gathering, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
