Chief Credit Officer – Private Bank

Functional (jobresponsibilities)

• Manage all aspects of the Private Bank credit risk management functionincluding design, execution, and communication of policy, approval process,administration, and portfolio analysis. The responsibilities of the role bothat the bank and within the group.
• Providing oversight for an effective credit approval process within thecompany that supports the credit risk appetite of the Bank while alsofacilitating desired asset growth objectives.
•  Strategic Oversight, provide oversight for an effective credit approvalprocess that supports the Bank’s risk appetite while facilitating growth in theHNW loan portfolio.
• Risk Analysis, Analyze and recommend sound credit risk proposals forManagement Credit Committee and Credit Supervisory Committee review.
• Responsible to comply with any regulatory guidelines which includesintegrity of all regulatory reporting, bank’s policies on the fair treatment offinancial consumers, bank’s policies/processes and procedures for anti-moneylaundering, countering financing of terrorism and proliferation financing andetc.
• Carry out any other dutiesas directed by the Bank’s Management. The responsibilities that may be assumedon an interim or a project basis where there are substantial contributions ordeliverables from the member of senior management concerned.

Managerial (team/groupresponsibilities)

• Provide effective leadership to build a cohesive, responsive, andhigh-performing Private Banking credit and collections team.
• Lead succession planning, talent management, and professional development programs to improve staff skill sets in line with changing marketlandscapes.
• Ensure the integrity of all regulatory and management reporting for the Private Banking credit division.
• Formulate and implementrecovery plans for impaired loans and defaulters within the Private Banking segment.

Organizational(organizationalresponsibilities)

• Leading a team of highly skilled specialists in identifying, measuring,managing and reporting critical global markets risk issues and strengthening the governance processes/workflows to better manage business-specific risk
• Strategic Alignment, ensure all credit policies are aligned with theGroup’s business directions and effectively communicated across allorganizational levels.
• Audit & Governance, maintain at least a "Satisfactory"audit rating for the division and ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory guidelines.
• Operational Resilience, implement operational resilience frameworks, including managing outsourcing risksand business continuity.

Education/Qualification

• Degree or professionalqualification and/or Certified Risk Professional

Experience/Requirements

• More than 15 years of relevant credit and businessexperience
• More than 5 years in senior management capacity
• Strong Leadership, Interpersonal, Analytical andArticulation skills & Ability to make tough/ robust decisions to protectthe Group and achieve influence at the most senior level in the organization.
• Exposure to demanding operational environments togain insight into the most effective risk management applications includingunderstanding complex business requirements/ environments.
• Working across ALL levels of the organization tounderstand cross-functional linkages and interdependencies as well asimplication of risk at both strategic level and business unit level.
• High level of professionalcompetence, which helps to determine appropriate risk measures, risk processes,risks monitoring and management for the Group.
