Job Purpose

The Chief of Finance will serve as a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, guiding the company through its next phase of rapid scaling, international expansion, and digital transformation. This role blends traditional fiscal stewardship and governance with aggressive strategic planning, capital allocation, and tech-sector metrics optimization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership & Capital Management

• Growth & Scaling Strategy: Partner with the executive team to define long-term commercial goals, evaluate SaaS/recurring revenue models, and design pricing structures to maximize margins.

• Capital Raising & Investor Relations: Lead equity/debt fundraising rounds, venture debt structuring, and manage relationships with institutional investors, venture capitalists, and banking partners.

• M&A and Corporate Development: Evaluate strategic investment opportunities, joint ventures, and mergers/acquisitions, managing due diligence and post-merger financial integration.

2. Financial Planning & Operational Excellence (FP&A)

• Scenario Modeling: Design agile, rolling forecast models and predictive stress-testing to guide agile resource allocation in a volatile tech market.

• Tech Metrics Fluency: Drive performance tracking using industry-specific KPIs such as CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), LTV (Lifetime Value), ARR/MRR (Annual/Monthly Recurring Revenue), Net Revenue Retention (NRR), and Burn Multiple.

• Cash Flow & Treasury: Optimize global cash management, currency hedging, and working capital to maintain an ideal financial runway.

3. Governance, Risk, and Regional Compliance

• Local & Regional Taxation: Ensure strict adherence to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) regulations, including corporate tax filings, GST, and complex cross-border transfer pricing frameworks across Southeast Asia.

• Internal Controls: Establish robust corporate governance frameworks and internal controls across all regional subsidiaries to mitigate operational and financial risk.

• Audit & Reporting: Deliver timely, accurate IFRS/SFRS financial statements to shareholders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

4. Team Leadership & Finance Transformation

• Digitalization of Finance: Spearhead the migration, configuration, and optimization of cloud-based ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) and automated financial tools to streamline data flow.

• Talent Development: Mentor and scale a high-performing finance, accounting, and business intelligence team, fostering a culture of extreme accountability and data-driven execution.

Key Requirements

• Education & Professional Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Chartered Accountant (CA) Singapore, CPA, or ACCA qualification is strictly mandatory. An MBA is a plus.

• Experience: 12 to 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a C-suite or head-of-finance capacity within a high-growth technology, SaaS, or digital commerce company.

• Funding Track Record: Proven experience navigating Series B/C+ fundraising rounds, IPO preparation, or significant M&A activities in the APAC region.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Singapore’s regulatory environment, economic grants (e.g., EDB, Enterprise Singapore frameworks), and international corporate tax laws.

• Tech Stack Savvy: Hands-on experience championing digital transformation projects within finance operations (ERP implementations, automated consolidation tools).
