Job Summary
Supports business decision-making by partnering with commercial, operations, and finance teams on pricing, margin analysis, revenue forecasting, customer profitability, and commercial performance reporting. Provides timely financial insights, controls, and analysis to improve revenue quality, profitability, cash cycle, and business growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Partner with commercial, sales, operations, and finance stakeholders to review business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support management decision-making.
• Prepare and analyse revenue, gross margin, customer profitability, price variance, product mix, and volume performance reports.
• Support pricing reviews, quotation analysis, commercial proposals, and contract profitability assessments to ensure financial assumptions are complete and accurate.
• Assist in monthly forecast, annual budget, and long-range planning activities for revenue, margin, working capital, and key commercial drivers.
• Monitor customer AR status, collection trends, credit exposure, and cash cycle impact in coordination with the AR and commercial teams.
• Provide business case analysis for new customers, engineering changes, cost-down programs, productivity initiatives, and strategic commercial projects.
• Review financial impact of inventory, costing, materials, freight, tariffs, duties, and other cost drivers that affect customer profitability and margin performance.
• Support month-end closing by reviewing commercial finance accruals, margin movements, revenue recognition inputs, and management reporting packs.
• Maintain commercial finance dashboards, KPI scorecards, and variance analysis with clear commentary and recommended actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards in areas related to pricing, revenue, credit, and commercial finance processes.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
• Strong financial, analytical, and commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into practical business insights.
• Good understanding of pricing, margin analysis, revenue forecasting, customer profitability, cost drivers, and working capital management.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, costing, inventory, logistics, taxes, customs, and operational drivers that influence commercial performance is preferred.
• Ability to challenge assumptions professionally, communicate financial implications clearly, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, data accuracy, and process discipline.
• Experience supporting productivity, cost reduction, commercial improvement, or profitability enhancement initiatives.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including ability to prepare concise management commentary and business recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and finance reporting tools. Experience with ERP, BI, or dashboard tools is an advantage.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline is preferred.
• More than 4 years of experience in finance, commercial finance, FP&A, costing, business controlling, or related finance roles.
• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory, senior analyst, or business partnering capacity is preferred.
• Experience in a multinational manufacturing, electronics, EMS, supply chain, or customer-focused commercial environment is an advantage.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
