Lead Lending Operations in a Growing Finance Business

We are seeking an experienced Loan Manager to oversee lending operations and drive the growth of our hire purchase financing portfolio. You will play a key role in managing loan approvals, assessing credit risk, leading a team, and ensuring the continued growth and quality of the company's financing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Loan Portfolio Management

• Oversee the end-to-end loan lifecycle, from application and credit assessment to approval, documentation, and disbursement.
• Ensure efficient loan processing while maintaining strong risk controls and service standards.
• Monitor portfolio performance and implement strategies to maintain healthy asset quality.

Credit Risk & Compliance

• Evaluate loan applications and conduct detailed credit assessments.
• Make sound lending decisions in accordance with company policies and risk appetite.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal controls, and industry best practices.
• Review financial statements, credit reports, and supporting documents to assess borrower suitability.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of loan officers and credit professionals.
• Set performance objectives and foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
• Provide guidance on complex loan applications and escalated cases.

Process Improvement & Business Growth

• Identify opportunities to improve lending workflows and operational efficiency.
• Implement best practices in loan management, documentation, and portfolio monitoring.
• Partner with sales, finance, and business development teams to support growth initiatives and lending targets.

Portfolio Monitoring & Collections Support

• Monitor delinquency trends and portfolio risk indicators.
• Work closely with collections teams to minimize defaults and improve recovery rates.
• Recommend proactive measures to strengthen portfolio quality and profitability.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Accountancy, or related disciplines.
• 3 years of experience in banking, lending, loan management, credit underwriting, or related financial services.
• Strong understanding of credit assessment, risk management, and lending principles.
• Proven experience reviewing financial statements and making credit decisions.
