Compliance Lead – Hedge Fund

The Role

Our client is a commodities hedge fund in Singapore and we are looking for a Compliance Lead in Singapore. You will be in charge of all SG Compliance and MAS matters and will be liaising with the regional team all Compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the firm’s compliance policies and procedures
• Liaise with MAS on all SG Compliance matters
• Work and liaise with EU and UK regulators.
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Oversee trade surveillance, personal account dealing, restricted lists, and market abuse controls
• Assist with regulatory filings, reporting obligations, and regulatory inquiries
• Conduct compliance monitoring reviews and risk assessments
• Support AML/KYC and investor onboarding processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of Compliance experience, ideally in a hedge fund.
• Practical experience advising front office and liaising on regulatory matters
• Ability to work independently in a startup like environment
