Controller

POSITION OUTLINE

Being a strategic business partner to Asia Portfolio, the Controller reports to CFO-Asia, and support global and regional business leadership in key financial decisions, and reporting to other external stakeholders, including bankers/financiers.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all local, regional and corporate reporting for Asia is completed accurately and timely. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts for Group Management Reporting.
• Perform financial analysis, reporting and forecasting to design and oversee the execution of the company budget.
• Following accounting procedures and standards, ensures that the budget is properly administered and follows legal guidelines, and provides budget feedback.
• Develop business plans and financial recommendations (including cost savings opportunities and efficiency gains) for centres performances, portfolio performance optimisation and business growth, both locally and regionally.
• Understand, and support the enhancement and compliance of Business Finance processes, accounting standards and global tools/systems for the business.
• Support Business Development Team and CFO for Merger & Acquisitions, and greenfield sites both locally and regionally.

REQUIRED SKILL SETS/COMPETENCIES

• Educational Qualification: At least a Bachelor in Accountancy
• Must possess both strong quantitative abilities and excellent written presentation and oral communication skills.
• Strategic, analytical thinkers who are driven by results and can innovate financial solutions with focused guidance.
• At least 5 years in audit and transaction/deal advisory services
• IT skills - Strong systems experience and knowledge IT infrastructure/systems processes as well as knowledge in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
• Experience in working with regional teams in Asia.
