Corporate Development Associate

• Permanent headcount, based in Singapore
• In-house M&A role
• Candidates must have relevant 3-6 yrs of M&A Investment Banking experience, ideally in financial services/ banking/ fintech

Responsibilities would include:

• Originate and execute principal M&A and strategic investment, alliances and joint ventures opportunities globally within financial services/ banking / fintech
• Acquisition and disposal of companies or banks, businesses, product or customer capabilities and portfolios to strengthen the core franchise of the bank
• Evaluate the performance of the Group and portfolio of businesses against its strategic ambitions, its own financial framework and market expectations
• Execute the analysis and presentation of the evaluation of transaction opportunities, produce financial analyses and valuation models for transactions as a basis for deal structuring and negotiation
•  Review transaction opportunities aligned with the strategic agenda of the Group
• Work with Regional CEOs and Global Business CEOs to identify opportunities to initiate or exit corporate investments
• Work with Group functional leaders/ teams and external advisers on transaction execution

Profile of ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in Investment banking / IBD/ Corporate Finance / M&A/ Corporate Development ideally within financial services/ banking/ fintech
• Ability to perform under pressure and thrive in a high intensity environment
• Strong work ethics and excellent learning / work attitude, independent and can perform without much supervision 
• Detail oriented with good financial analysis skills
• Superior analytical aptitude, creative problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
• Analytical and numerate with basic accounting and finance knowledge
