Cost Accountant (Manufacturing MNC / North)

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage cost accounting activities, including month-end close, inventory reconciliations and variance analysis.

• Analyze manufacturing costs, product margins, and work order variances, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

• Support standard cost roll, costing methodologies, and inventory management, including physical counts and excess & obsolete (E&O) reviews.

• Partner with Operations to ensure accurate inventory transactions and drive continuous process improvements.

• Prepare and review cost, margin, inventory, and KPI reports, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, annual operating planning (AOP) and quarterly business reviews through financial analysis and cost forecasting.

• Maintain compliance with SOX, US GAAP, and internal control requirements and support internal, external, tax, and statutory audits.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and IT to enhance costing systems, processes, and end-to-end supply chain operations.

• Support regulatory reporting requirements, including EDB surveys and annual census submissions.

Requirements:

• At least 5 - 8 years' Cost Accountant/Cost Manager experience in manufacturing industries

• Education Qualification in Accounting/Finance or equivalent

• Proficient with Excel, Power BI and Oracle Cloud system will be a strong advantage

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
