Career with Regional Credit, UOBKH

As part of our robust growth in the structured credit space, we have openings for (Senior) Credit Analyst in the Regional Credit (RC) department. RC, an integral part of our structured debt franchise in Asia, has the principal mandate for all wholesale structured debt products offered by UOBKH across the various business units, including prime brokerage, private wealth management, structured finance, and structured solutions well as our regional brokerage firms. All of our financing (proposals) commitments are structured, processed, and proposed through RC. This department plays a core role in delivering our strategy in the markets we choose to operate in.

What is the job like?

• Providing in-depth credit and fundamental analysis including assessment and valuation of multiple asset classes (e.g. listed shares, bonds, derivatives, structured products, properties, etc) as potential collateral
• Reviewing and analyzing regional capital market activities and corporate actions (e.g. privatization, corporate takeover, rights issue, IPO, etc).
• Presenting financing proposals to the Credit Committee and addressing all credit queries pertaining to the financing requests.
• Reviewing legal documentation before activation of the credit facility, and ensuring proper compliance with local and international regulations and the UOB Kay Hian credit policy guidelines.

Who are we looking for?

• A good degree preferably in Accounting and Finance, CFA, CA or MBA from a reputable university
• At least 1 - 2 years of credit and financial analysis experience, preferably from a reputable financial institution. Applicants with excellent academic achievements, including those without prior work experience, are encouraged to apply
• A good working knowledge and understanding of companies listed on the regional stock exchanges will be useful and advantageous
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and in Chinese or Bahasa Malaysia/ Indonesia are essential for this role due to regional coverage
• Numerate, analytical, well organized, able to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
