Director

• Lead M&A and corporate advisory origination, execution, and client relationship management.
• Build and expand transaction pipelines through strategic partnerships and business development.
• Manage end-to-end M&A transactions, including valuation, financial modelling, due diligence, negotiations, and closing.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders across clients, advisors, and internal teams.
• Define departmental strategy, business plans, KPIs, and revenue objectives.
• Establish governance framework, policies, and operating procedures for the M&A function.
• Drive cross-border M&A initiatives and collaboration across the Resona Group.
• Provide market, industry, and investment insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Consulting & M&A team.
• Ensure all M&A advisory and corporate advisory activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with the Securities And Futures Act and all other applicable laws and regulatory requirements in connection with the advisory activities conducted by the Department.

Requirements

• Degree in any related field
• At least 5 years of experience in M&A brokerage business
• Proficient in written and spoken Japanese, as the role requires regular communication with Japanese-speaking stakeholders and management at the Head Office, where Japanese is used as the primary working language for business coordination and meetings.
