We are seeking a highly driven and strategic *Director of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)* to lead the company’s growth through acquisitions, divestments, and strategic investments.
This individual will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing M&A opportunities, as well as overseeing post-merger integration and value realization. The role requires a strong balance of commercial acumen, financial expertise, and leadership in managing complex cross-functional transactions.
*Strategic Planning & Deal Origination*
* Develop and implement the company’s M&A strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
* Identify, evaluate, and recommend acquisition, merger, and divestment opportunities.
* Conduct market mapping and maintain a strong network to source and originate potential deals.
* Prepare and present investment proposals and business cases to senior management and the Board.
*Deal Execution & Structuring*
* Lead the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions — including valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
* Build and review detailed financial models to assess valuation, synergies, and investment returns.
* Coordinate with internal and external advisors (legal, tax, financial, regulatory) on deal structuring and documentation.
* Manage the transaction timeline and ensure efficient execution across all stakeholders.
*Due Diligence & Risk Management*
* Oversee all due diligence workstreams (financial, operational, legal, tax, and compliance).
* Identify potential risks, synergies, and integration challenges.
* Summarize key findings and present actionable recommendations to management.
*Post-Merger Integration*
* Develop integration plans to align operations, culture, and financial systems post-acquisition.
* Work closely with business and functional leaders to drive synergy realization and performance tracking.
* Establish governance structures and performance KPIs for acquired entities.
*Governance & Compliance*
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements (e.g. ACRA, MAS, IRAS, SGX, and foreign regulators where applicable).
* Prepare and present reports, approval papers, and documentation for senior management and regulators.
*Leadership & Stakeholder Management*
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing M&A team.
* Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, Strategy) to ensure alignment on deal execution.
* Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, advisors, and potential partners.

*Requirements*
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics,Accounting, or a related field.
(MBA, CFA, or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.)
* Minimum *10–15 years of experience* in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or private equity.
* Proven track record in *executing complex transactions*, including cross-border deals.
* Strong analytical, valuation, and financial modeling skills.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
* In-depth understanding of Singapore and regional regulatory environments.
* Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and high attention to detail.
