Equity analyst (ECM coverage)

ACG Management Pte. Ltd., founded in Singapore in 2009, employs around 70 professionals in a group using a multi-manager strategy focused on fundamental long/short market-neutral equity investing, primarily in Asia and Japan listed equities.

Job Summary

We seek an Analyst to conduct deep fundamental research and financial analysis on equity capital market and public equity market companies, collaborating with portfolio managers to generate actionable investment ideas in targeted markets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed bottom-up research on Equity Capital Market companies (pre-IPO, IPO, PO) within assigned market coverage
• Communicate frequently and effectively with corporates and ECM desks at brokerage firms to gather insights
• Build and maintain comprehensive financial models to forecast company performance and valuation
• Identify actionable long and short investment ideas through proprietary fundamental research
• Monitor company developments, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic trends affecting the coverage market
• Attend earnings calls, analyst briefings, and company meetings relevant to assigned markets
• Engage professionally with company management, investor relations teams, and sell-side analysts to enhance research quality
• Apply market-specific knowledge and cultural awareness to deepen research insights and investment theses
• Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers to develop, refine, and communicate investment theses aligned with firm strategy

Required competencies and certifications

• Strong analytical skills with experience covering equities in at least one major market
• Proficiency in languages relevant to the coverage market (Mandarin, English, and one additional language) to support effective communication and research
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or asset management
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including discounted cash flow (DCF) and comparable company analysis

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Familiarity with research tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and financial databases
